collectible chess sets a world of their own
Collectible chess sets, I have noticed take on a world of their own. Each one with a different theme, being historic or fantasy, gives the old strategic game of chess a new look. Let me start with the collectible chess set, the civil war chess set. There are many choices of this chess set, you have the Franklin mint's civil war chess set, which is a fine collectible chess set. It was the first collectible chess set I got, it being a graduation present. I believe it is what started me in collecting chess sets. I have seen other versions of civil war chess sets, each one having a unique quality of its own. From the way the playing board is made to the detail of the pieces. Each piece is like a work of art, showing off that period of time,of the clothing and equipment.I can find myself at times, either playing or admiring the chess set, wondering how that period of time was like, or if playing being one of the generals. For me these collectible chess sets on the civil war, brings out the history of the nation. There are many other collectible chess sets out in the stores and many websites that carry them. I will talk about other collectible chess sets on my next post and give a list of websites that i find.
